Volunteers make an eternal difference in the lives of kids at Lift! You have the opportunity to make a lasting impact through READING and RELATIONSHIP. We want our students to become confident and fluent readers. Your primary goal each day that you volunteer is to read with Lift students! As you listen to a child read, and in turn read to them, you build a RELATIONSHIP that reinforces the importance of READING. A commitment to show up helps Lift fulfill the vision of “Lifting our kids, Lifting our community”.

INDIVIDUAL OPPORTUNITIES

Our Lift volunteers are essential to our mission. While volunteering once a week to read with a child is at the center of our program, there are many other ways to be
involved as an individual. Sharing a talent or gift with our kids helps to enrich their world (music, sports, drama, science, art, animals, etc) is a great way to be involved on a one day basis.

GROUP OPPORTUNITIES

Groups can be involved in a variety of ways, and we are eager to have you as a part of our team. If your church, small group, sports team, dorm wing, or business would like to partner with Lift, please let us know. We would love to have you involved.

We believe that literacy is a key component to a strong and thriving community. Every child deserves the gift of reading, but some children need extra layers of support to unwrap that gift. Lift provides the needed structure and support to help build literacy in our students and positively impact our community for generations to come.
